Pause: Communication

This activity is designed to give you the opportunity to practise your communication skills by sending and receiving information in different contexts.
Communication

Stay focussed

You’ll need:

  • A Bible
When Jesus talked to people in the Bible, He had much that He wanted to say. When He spoke, however, He always focused on just one subject. One of the ways Jesus used to communicate different ideas was through parables. These were short stories that had simple messages. The stories were always about things that the people would have experienced.

Read Luke chapter 15 verses 3 – 10.

  • What do you think Jesus was trying to communicate through these parables?
  • If Jesus was telling the parable today what might He have described?
