Fast Forward: Looking at self-esteem

This activity is designed to help you think about and raise your personal self-esteem.
Self-Esteem

Mirror prompt

You’ll need:

  • A postcard-sized piece of paper
  • a variety of coloured pencils/felt-tips

Write on your piece of paper the Bible verse below from 1 Peter chapter 3 verses 3 – 4 (from the Contemporary English Version):

Don’t depend on things like fancy hairdos or gold jewellery or expensive clothes to make you look beautiful. Be beautiful in your heart by being gentle and quiet. This kind of beauty will last, and God considers it very special.

Decorate your paper to a high standard so you can be proud of it and stick it on your bedroom mirror so you see it every day.

When you look at the Bible verse you should remember that God thinks you’re beautiful and He is proud of you.
